Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Happy New Year and warm regards from the Homeland Defense and Security Information Analysis Center!
My name is Steve Redifer, and I am the new Director of the HDIAC. I am a retired Marine who assumed the duties as the HDIAC Director in September; the HDIAC Deputy Director, Dirk Plante, is a recently retired Soldier who assumed his duties in October.
I am reaching out to all of you as our records show that, at some point in the past, you had registered as a user on the HDIAC website and signed up to receive products such as the HD Digest and the HD Journal. If you are receiving this email, a recent review indicates that you have not re-registered following the launch of the new HDIAC website in September.
A little background:
- When the HDIAC contract was re-awarded in September, we commenced a review of all the databases maintained by the HDIAC, to include the registered users and subject matter experts.
- We also created a new cloud-hosted website; as part of that initiative, we continue to ask that all prior subscribers re-register.
- I recognize that this will take a few minutes of your time and apologize for any inconvenience; however, I believe this is a necessary step to ensure that your privacy is protected and your information remains secure.
Re-registration on the website gives you the option to sign up for HDIAC products, participate in our community forums, and elect to receive notification of upcoming events.
I am reaching out to thank you for your past participation in the HDIAC community of practice – without your help, it would not be possible to achieve our mission of providing timely and relevant information to the community.
Your level of participation is up to you, and our goal is simply to share knowledge and provide a platform for open discussion and furthering common objectives of the Homeland Defense community thereby aiding to secure our great nation.
Please take a moment to re-register at https://www.hdiac.org/register/ – while all of you were previously registered, we want to take the extra step of refreshing our user/subscriber database to protect your security. I sincerely appreciate your support in this effort.
Again, thank you for your participation in the past, and I look forward to working with you in the future.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us.
Warm regards and Semper Fidelis,
